Creating a fun “What I Want To Be When I Grow Up” page is so fun for kids to include in their Memory Book, Year-End Book, Portfolio, or simply as a poster to hang on the wall until it is time to take home.

Making one is simple to do.

Because I am a MAC user and devout loyalist, I actually use Pages to create basically everything I make. However, to make these instructions cross-platform friendly, I will give you directions for making this cute chart on Power Point. (These directions are generally the same in pages, publisher, etc.)

  1. Open a blank presentation.

  2. Change the presentation size to 8 ½ X 11. (Click on the Design tab, click Customize Slide and change the width to 8.5 and the height to 11.

  3. Begin to add pictures by clicking insert and then clicking on pictures. (You also can do a drag and drop).

  4. Add a picture to the page. Move and size the picture wherever you desire.

  5. Open the clip art and have it to the side of the open Power Point. Choose the hat you want and drag it on the head of the student.

  6. Click on word art and add a name.

  7. Add a second picture and continue until all of your students are added.

  8. I have added some additional clipart here and there to add some embellished touches.

  9. Print and Enjoy!
